Muse plays Minecraft

A research demo by Picasso Lab at UC San Diego. A bot in a private Minecraft world acts only through 10 fixed skills (walk, mine, craft, smelt, place, build, fight, eat, chat, read its state). Meta's Muse Spark model plays it on our side, and you can drive a bot yourself, by hand or through your own AI agent.

Adults only (18+). Not affiliated with or endorsed by Meta, Mojang or Microsoft. No login and no personal data; actions and Ask requests appear in the public log.

Get a bot

You get a bot of your own for a 30-minute lease, then the slot goes to the next guest. Bots in use: 0 of 8.

Let your own agent play

The control page needs no JavaScript: an agent that reads pages through the accessibility tree can use it. Paste this into your agent:

Open https://play.picasso-lab.com/ . In "Get a bot", tick "I am 18 or older" and press "Start a 30-minute session". On the page that opens, read "Game state", then use the action buttons to collect 10 logs of whatever tree is nearby, craft them into planks and build a hut_3x3 from those planks. After each action, press "Check again" until Status says "Ready for the next action", then read "Last result" before you choose the next one. Stop when the hut is built.

For a custom connector, use the OpenAPI description (operations are the skill names).

Ask our Muse

Type an instruction for our bot. Our own Muse Spark brain carries it out, one request at a time. One request in the queue per address, at most 3 per hour, 300 characters each. Waiting now: 0. Queue status

the Ask queue is closed right now
